CAPping it Off
Our interview with England’s illustrious Computer Arts Projects just came out. Our design studio, eljl, and it’s love child, Dolls for Friends, were featured in their November issue on character and toy design. The full-page piece showcases several of photos of our pieces and a handful of questions about our creative process and inspiration.
It has long been a dream of mine to be featured in this magazine (I’ve been a subscriber for nearly six years), so when the opportunity came up to be a part of their showcase I practically jumped out of my skin, “Yes yes yes!!”. The whole process was so seamless as well. We selected some pics of our favorite dolls from our archive, answered a few questions, zipped up the files and it was on its way across the pond. The hardest part of the whole thing was waiting for the issue to show up in our mailbox.
Big mushy thanks to Kate Evans and the rest of the CAP staff for their interest in our studio and plushie work. I guess I can now cross this off my list of firsts.
